A powerful new planeswalker is joining the multiverse in a new Magic: The Gathering comic series from BOOM! Studios. While the world's most popular trading card game has many strong characters, the series' newest planeswalker is so powerful they have the ability to destroy, or save, entire planes of existence.
Though MTG is no stranger to the world of comic books, the latest series began only last year. The simply titled Magic by Jed MacKay and Ig Guara has followed its own version of the multiverse, ever so slightly different than the main series. While the main comic series is now starting an entirely new arc starring newer planeswalker Niko Aris as well as returning classics Chandra and Garruk, a spinoff was just announced that focuses on fan-favorite necromancer Liliana Vess.
