As far as fighting game rosters go, none are more unique than what we get in the Super Smash Bros. series. Letting you play as everyone from Pikachu to Solid Snake, there seems to be no limit to who's allowed to join the party and beat the crap out of each other. Something that Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon seems to have taken notice of.
Speaking with Axios, Boon says that he'd be up for letting Smash Bros. add Scorpion and Sub-Zero to the roster. While he admits Nintendo hasn't asked to collab, it's clear he's willing to play ball, lending two of the most iconic fighting game characters to the series - even if they are a little on the violent side.

Asked by Axios who he'd be willing to send over to Smash Bros., Boon is quick to respond. "Scorpion. Not even a hesitation," he says. "I guess if they want two, it would be Scorpion and Sub-Zero."
He says he would select these two because they have the most iconic designs in the series. Well, that and the fact that "it’s cool to see a spear pull somebody." So if Scorpion was to make it into Smash, it looks like Boon would want that iconic "get over here!" move to be included too. Albeit with less blood, it's safe to assume.
Alas, Nintendo has never asked the Mortal Kombat team if they would be interested in a crossover. I suppose when you compare the two games, it's not that surprising. But if you also consider that characters from other adult-orientated games have made it onto the roster - like Snake and Bayonetta - it can't be completely out of the question.
