Ermac underwent an interesting redesign in Mortal Kombat 1. Gone are his days as one of the recoloured ninjas, as he now has a look that separates him from the likes of Scorpion and Sub-Zero entirely, even more so than in previous games. The only problem was that many fans thought he looked kinda bad.
Now, with Ermac set to become playable in the new year, fans have found evidence of a new skin that will cover up his controversial face. Datamined from the game, it looks like one of Ermac's skins will give him a mask, like he had in the good ol' days.
At least two dataminers have found this skin in the game so far, so it looks fairly legit. It would give him a proper ninja mask to cover most of his face, leaving only his bright, glowing green eyes on display.
Given that Mortal Kombat fans overwhelmingly dunked on his redesign when it was revealed prior to launch, many are pleased to see that he'll get a mask to cover up most of his face. Still, changes might be made before Ermac joins the roster. There's probably still some time to make these edits too, as Ermac isn't scheduled to launch until Spring 2024. He won't be the final fighter to be added in the first wave of DLC though, as Takeda from Mortal Kombat X is set to be added in Summer 2024. This means that, right now, the order of release is as follows: Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, Takeda. This doesn't include their accompanying Kameo
