Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage were big box office hits despite taking a lashing from critics, likely due to their much stronger reception with audiences. Both Venom movies earned Rotten Tomatometer scores, butVenom earned still saw a positive 81 percent audience score, while Venom: Let There Be Carnage earned a 73 percent score. Venom: Let There Be Carnage actually saw an even higher audience score under Rotten Tomatoes' «Verified Audience» system, but since the first Venom and most MCU movies released prior to the creation of the Verified Audience system, we'll make all comparisons using the original «All Audience» score for the sake of parity.
