A mysterious locked sarcophagus is featured in Moon Knight episode 4, raising questions about who (or what) is inside. Egyptian mythology and culture have been prominently featured in Marvel Studios' new Disney+ show. The entire series is built around Moon Knight's relationship with the Egyptian moon god Khonshu and the mission to stop the resurrection of Ammit. Moon Knight finally moved its story to Egypt during episode 3, which allowed artifacts, locations, and traditions associated with the country to play a role. This includes a heavy emphasis on Egyptian sarcophaguses in Moon Knight episode 4.
The first sarcophagus in Moon Knight episode 4 is located in Ammit's tomb, as the goddess' former Avatar is finally found by Steven Grant and Layla. It is after getting through the maze-like layout of the burial site that Steven discovers that the coffin is for Alexander the Great, the king of Macedon. It isn't until after Moon Knight episode 4's ending delivers its big twist that lands Marc Spector in a psychiatric hospital that he finds another sarcophagus. However, when he opens this one, the Steven Grant alter is found inside. This isn't the last time an ancient Egyptian coffin would appear, though.

There is another locked sarcophagus in Moon Knight episode 4's hospital, but the identity of who, or what, is inside is not revealed. Someone is undoubtedly inside it, though, as it is rattling as if someone is trying to break out. But Marc and Steven walk past it without learning who is inside.
