Moon Knight's creative team had a lot of material to work with, and they incorporated plenty of hints and homages in the details of their work. The connection to Egyptian culture and that pantheon of gods also means that a lot of research went into the production, from costume design to cinematography. With the series introducing a Jewish protagonist with Dissociative Identity Disorder, as well as the MCU's first Egyptian superhero, there was an urgent need to represent each new element carefully.

Screen Rant had the pleasure of speaking to costume designer Meghan Kasperlik, who shared the research that went into crafting the looks of the Egyptian gods, the approach she took to characters like Layla and Jake, and how she imagines the Moon Knight gods would fare against Gorr the God Butcher.
