Moon Knight continues a specific trend that always happens in episode 4 of an MCU show. After the success of 2021's WandaVision, the MCU's expansion onto the small screen shows no signs of abating. So far, six MCU shows have aired on Disney+, and this new format has been a roaring success for Marvel, allowing the studio to dive deeper into storytelling. While all of these shows feel completely different from one another, they all share one thing in common when it gets to episode 4.
Moon Knight is an interesting aberration in the lineup of MCU shows, as Feige has said it's relatively separate from the rest of the cinematic universe and there's little evidence for where Moon Knight takes place in the MCU timeline. By contrast, WandaVision and Loki had direct links to the multiverse which set up Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine appeared first in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and then again in the post-credits of Black Widow. Moon Knight isn't so interconnected, but there is one key MCU trend that it can't escape.

Episode 4 of MCU shows have thus far proven to be hugely significant episodes, with either a big twist, or a new mind-bending piece of information that can spawn a million new theories placed front and center.
