The MCU has seen several exciting and complex characters, but it appears that Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight may take things to another level. Now, one of the Marvel Studios series' directors, Mohamed Diab, believes the titular hero will be in the MCU for many years.
Isaac will make his MCU debut as Marc Spector, a mercenary who embodies the complicated vigilante Moon Knight and suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. Spector was a former US marine facing death before his life fell within the hands of Khonshu, the ancient Egyptian god of the Moon, for whom he has now become a conduit. As for Diab, the Egyptian screenwriter and director is best known for his acclaimed Cairo 678.

Speaking with SFX ahead of the series' premiere on Disney Plus, Diab has high hopes for the show and what lies ahead for Moon Knight, which could perhaps involve having him featured in an MCU film. “I dream and wish for a film," Diab said. «But with Marvel, the way they play it, it’s not like you graduate into a film. You can go into a film and come to a TV show and go back. It’s like a crazy world. Even with the successful shows, like WandaVision, they’re not doing season two. She jumped into a film, maybe she’s going to come back or not. I don’t know. And that’s exciting.»
