In Patch 9.2, the Drust Spiteclaw mobs in Mists of Tirna Scithe are being nerfed, making it much easier to pull and allow players to much more easily utilize their stacking 10% damage buff.
Mists of Tirna Scithe — Drust Spiteclaws NerfIn Patch 9.2, the following changes are being made to the Drust Spiteclaws at the beginning of Mists of Tirna Scithe, with Blizzard noting that the risk was too high for the reward.
BlizzardDevelopers’ note: We hoped to see Dying Breath used for high-risk/high-reward plays, but players have found that the risk generally outweighed the reward. This update should make the risk more manageable & make the ability more interesting to play around.Here are the spell changes.
Upon death, curse players and creatures within 306 yds, increasing their damage taken by 10% for 3020 sec. Cast Time changed from Instant to 2 sec cast Duration changed from 30 sec to 20 sec Bloodletting Leap to a player, then slash all players within 4 yds for 2478 Physical damage plus 1858 Physical damage every 2 sec for 8 sec. Minimum distance of 10 yds added What This Change MeansWhat does this change mean? You can make some high risk, high reward plays using the Drust Spiteclaw and the debuff Dying Breath, because it's important to note that Dying Breath hits all creatures. Previously, this would give you a 10% damage buff per stack for each mob that you manage to hit with the debuff, but also debuff the entire party with a Curse that made you take 10% more damage per stack. With this change, players will be able to step out of the ground effect after it dies, allowing you to only debuff the enemies. In addition, part of the reason that Drust Spiteclaw were not used because of their Bloodletting ability
