Mission: Impossible 8: Simon Pegg Teases Return of Fan-Favorite Dead Reckoning Villain
Simon Pegg is teasing the return of Pom Klementieff’s Paris in .
Pegg, who plays Benji in the Mission: Impossible franchise, posted a photo of Klementieff as Paris on Instagram. “Hard to kill! If you think you’ve seen the last of Paris… think again,” Pegg’s caption reads.

Paris was introduced in 2023’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One as an assassin working for the villainous Gabriel, played by Esai Morales. The end of the film, however, suggests that she may be switching allegiances, as she saves Ethan (Tom Cruise) and Grace (Hayley Atwell) from falling to their death after being betrayed by Garbiel’s boss, a piece of sentient artificial intelligence known as the Entity.
Cruise and Atwell are also both returning for Mission: Impossible 8, which was previously going to be titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two up until October 2023.
Ving Rhames, Pegg, Henry Czerny, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Mariela Garriga, Mark Gatiss, and Charles Parnell are also reprising their various Mission: Impossible roles in the upcoming film, while Rolf Saxon, Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, Janet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham, and Lucy Tulugarjuk are additionally joining the cast.
Christopher McQuarrie is returning to direct Mission: Impossible 8 after helming Dead Reckoning Part One, 2018’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and 2015’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. McQuarrie co-wrote the script with Erik Jenderesen and produces the movie alongside Cruise.
