Minecraft has officially announced when the new update known as The Wild Update will be released. It has been a bit of time since Minecraft released Caves & Cliffsand fans are likely excited to have some new content coming their way. The wildly popular survival building game has shown no signs of slowing down since its launch in 2009 and fans continue to find new and exciting ways to elevate their in-game experience.
Minecraft's Survival mode and Creative mode offer completely different experiences to different players, which makes their replayability factor very high. With past updates, like Caves & Cliffs Part 1 & 2 and The Nether Update, new biomes have been added for these players to explore. Caves & Cliffs also offered the addition of new Minecraft animals, like axolotls, which players can keep as pets.

The official Minecraft Twitter tweeted that The Wild Update will drop on June 7, and this update brings a lot of new additions to the game. There will betwo new biomes known as the Deep Dark and the Mangrove Swamp, and Deep Dark appears to have a definite horror vibe. This can supposedly be found deep below the surface, even further down than a base of a cave. Here, players will also find a new type of block they can mine. The announcement also mentioned to keep an ear out for something known as a shrieker, which will bring a new terrifying mob. There are three new mobs that will be found in The Wild Update, including the ever-popular Minecraft frog. There is also a new mob known as the warden, which is described as the most difficult enemy that has ever existed.
