The galactic space adventures ofGuardians of the Galaxy fan-favorite Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) are set to live on in his own Disney Plus series, and it’s coming very soon.
Guardians of the Galaxy introduced fans to a whole new team of heroes, but the adorable Groot stole the hearts of fans and earned his very own series. The brief synopsis for the upcoming collection of animated shorts reveals that I Am Grootwill follow “Baby Groot’s glory days growing up, and getting into trouble among the stars.”

I Am Groot is set to hit Disney Plus on August 10th, and Marvel Studios made the announcement with the first official poster for Groot's adventures. The poster depicts an adorable baby Groot, who hasn’t been seen since Avengers: Endgame, laying his head on Star Lord's (played by Chris Pratt) Sony TPS-L2 Walkman, which has been featured throughout the Guardians of the Galaxy films by director James Gunn, who is also attached to the upcoming Groot series as an executive producer. Beside little Groot is a palm tree air freshener, with two little four-eyed creatures seemingly peering at Groot relaxing behind it, with a cocktail drink next to him.
Although key details about the upcoming Disney Plus series are slim, it has been confirmed thatI Am Groot is set to take place after the 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy film. With the release of the first poster and the show's premiere date, a first trailer is definitely following close behind. Aside from his own series, Groot is set to return in a few upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films, with a brief cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder coming this year and the third installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise set to hit
