Disney Speedstorm's closed beta begins June 8 on PC.
Earlier this year, Gameloft announced Disney Speedstorm as part of a Nintendo Direct. The short trailer for the game showcased a few of the characters and tracks and revealed that the free-to-play game was planned for release in 2022, with a beta expected sometime during Summer. It's been a bit quiet since that reveal trailer, but thankfully the wait for information is over and we now know exactly when to expect that beta and what consoles it'll be on.

The official Disney Speedstorm Twitter account shared that the game is going into closed beta on June 8, but currently only for PC through Steam and the Epic Game Store. The Tweet announcing the news read, "Disney Speedstorm is going into a PC Closed Beta testing phase on June 8th, which means thousands of people will have the opportunity to play the game on Steam and EGS!"
Not only is the beta limited to PC players currently, but it's also an invite-only event. The Tweet reminds prospective players that to be in for a chance of joining the beta, they need to sign up on the game's official website. Gameloft confirmed that "thousands" of players are going to be sent beta access codes, however, so it probably won't be as limited as MultiVersus was earlier in the year.
As for when players on other consoles can expect to play Disney Speedstorm, there's sadly no word just yet. During the announcement trailer for the game, it was confirmed to be expected at some point in 2022, so it's probably not too far until players on other consoles get their hands on an open beta of some kind.
