Today looked to be a big one for game news with the Summer Game Fest, and it certainly did not disappoint. The show was full of exciting titles, but arguably the biggest news from today broke a couple of hours before, as PlayStation accidentally leaked pretty much everything about the upcoming The Last of Us remake for PS5.
There were other big announcements during Summer Game Fest though, one of which was the reveal of Guile in Street Fighter 6. Devolver Digital also had a showcase today as well, displaying some promising titles it has lined up for this year and beyond. Let's get into it.
Unfortunately for Geoff Keighley and company, Summer Game Fest's biggest reveal was accidentally leaked two hours before it started due to a slip up from PlayStation. Spotted by someone on ResetEra, a post made on PlayStation Direct revealed all the juicy details before The Last of Us Part 1 was officially announced, as the game is set to release on September 2 later this year. The game will be faithful to the original but is built from the ground up using the second game's engine, and it's even coming to PC at some point in the future.

Summer Game Fest might have had its biggest surprise ruined, but that doesn't mean it wasn't still full of cool announcements. A bunch of games were shown off over the course of the two hour event, including the reveal of Guile coming to Street Fighter 6. Other big reveals included a further look at brutally gory horror game The Callisto Protocol, and the announcement of a brand new Aliens game called Aliens: Dark Descent.
