Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans have gone through a long drought of information since the announcement of Gen 9 games in late February, but today The Pokemon Company finally shared a new trailer with some exciting reveals. Among new characters, like the game version-exclusive Professors and the energetic trainer called Nemona, players will seemingly also be able to play Gen 9 in co-op mode, as the trailer shows four characters exploring the region together. More importantly, however, today's trailer finally shows some new Pokemon that will appear in the overworld of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and also the Legendary creatures that provide each game with its own theme.
Because there seems to be a strong theme of past and future epochs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players can expect this to be reflected in the selection of available critters for each game, and possibly even in the available regional variants for existing monsters. Still, the trailer also revealed some of the Pokemon that will likely be found in the starting areas of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, from a new Electric-type to the typical Normal-type that can easily be found across the first few routes.
