A clever Minecraft exploit allows players to breed increasingly fast horses without the need for mods. The trick is just one of many Minecraft «hacks» that players have discovered and are now exploiting within the base game.
Nowadays, Minecraft fans have a huge selection of mods to choose from that can serve almost any purpose. Most builders use some form of alternative construction tool, texture packs, and lighting engines to bring their ideas to life. The massive "Build The Earth" project is an excellent example: thousands of people are working together to reconstruct the real world in a 1:1 scale using a mod pack in Minecraft. Mods are often incredibly popular tools for creators who want to make their builds more realistic than the vanilla version of Minecraft would allow. On the other hand, there will always be other players and purists who prefer to play without mods, and this is one exploit for them.

As shown in a new video fromSkip the Tutorial on YouTube, Minecraft players can use a trick to breed horses with permanent speed and jump boosts in the unmodified version of the game. All it requires is a Potion of Swiftness or a Potion of Leaping (or both). If a player throws the potions on two different horses and gets them to breed while the effects are still active, their offspring will retain the boosted stats of their parents. This means that the full-grown horse will be permanently faster and jump higher than a normal horse. This method can exponentially increase speed and jump height with each successive generation of horses, resulting in some incredibly powerful mounts.
