Pablo Schreiber reveals that he got The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal to send the Halo star's kid a sweet birthday message in lieu of acting advice. Schreiber stars in the Paramount+ series as Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, a genetically engineered supersoldier who leads the team of fellow supersoldiers known as Spartans in the fight against theocratic alien collective known as the Covenant, who seek to wipe out humanity as they consider them an affront to their gods. Alongside Schreiber, the cast for Halo includes Jen Taylor as Cortana, reprising her role from Bungie and 343 Industries' video game franchise, Natascha McElhone, Yerin Ha, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Olive Gray and Charlie Murphy.
Pascal leads the cast of The Mandalorian as Din Djarin, a lone bounty hunter who ventures through the galaxy taking on a number of jobs while also seeking to protect The Child, a toddler member of Yoda's unnamed species. The Star Wars spinoff series has received rave reviews in its first two seasons, with Pascal's performance specifically receiving praise for his effective and emotional character development, even when mostly covered by his helmet. While one might draw parallels between Pascal's Mandalorian and Schreiber's Master Chief, one of the stars doesn't quite see it the same way.
