Froglight is a new type of block that will be introduced in The Wild Update of Minecraft. The item will be added alongside both Frogs and the Mangrove Swamp biome. Froglight acts as a light source and does not naturally spawn in the world. Unfortunately, the process of acquiring this new item can be rather difficult. As the name suggests, players will first need to gather Frogs in Minecraft, before Froglight can be amassed. These new passive mobs can be found in the Swamp and Mangrove Swamp biomes. Frogs in the game feast on Slimes and Magma Cubes. They appear in three different colors depending on the climate where the Tadpole grew up. Frogs will be White for warm, Green for cold, and Orange for temperate regions. Froglight also has three different colors and is directly correlated to the amphibians.

When a Frog defeats the smallest type of Magma Cube, the desired block will be dropped. The appearance is determined by the passive mob's variant. Pearlescent (Purple) Froglight comes from White Frogs, Verdant (Green) Froglight comes from Green Frogs, and Ochre (Yellow) Froglight comes from Orange Frogs. Magma Cubes spawn in the Nether, most commonly found in Nether Fortresses and in Minecraft's Basalt Deltas. The three different types of Froglight make them excellent for decoration.
