After the dust had settled from the Toys to Life genre wars, Nintendo was the last company standing with its line of Amiibo figures. Compared to the competition, Amiibos looked better, offered more in-game value, and quickly became sought-after collectibles. While they rarely go on sale, you can grab a lovely two-pack of Amiibo figures for 20% less during Amazon Prime Day Round 2, and this is one set that Metroid fans will want to add to their collection.
From Metroid Dread, the Samus Aran and E.M.M.I Amiibo have dropped from $30 to $24 during the Amazon sales event. Like other Amiibos, these figures can be used to gain an edge in the game by tapping them on your Switch console and activating the NFC feature of the console. In Metroid Dread, scanning the Samus Amiibo will give you an extra energy tank to increase your health by 100 and a once-daily top-up of health. Scan the E.M.M.I Amiibo, and Samus gets an increase to her supply of missiles.
