The MCU’s most powerful character – the Living Tribunal – was hiding in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In Phase 4 alone, the MCU has drastically changed the power scale of the MCU. In addition to giving Scarlet Witch a massive boost, Marvel’s movies and shows have thrown in a handful of top-tier characters from the comic books. One in particular outclasses every other hero and villain who’s ever existed in the MCU.
Phase 4 has proven that the MCU is packed with powerhouses. Eternals introduced the Superman-esque Ikaris and several other cosmic-powered superheroes. Marvel’s What If…? proved that Uatu the Watcher can go toe-to-toe with an Infinity Gauntlet-powered Ultron. Scarlet Witch’s story in WandaVision made the Avenger who nearly beat Thanos single-handedly even more powerful than she already was. The scope of her power was on display in Doctor Strange 2 when it took all the Masters of the Mystic Arts to oppose her. Plus, the movie confirmed the existence of an additional MCU powerhouse via the multiverse when it brought in Anson Mount’s Black Bolt.
