Warning: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness spoilers ahead!
According to a new rumor, Captain Carter is reportedly getting her own MCU live-action series following her big cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Since the start of Phase 4, the multiverse has become a significant component for Marvel Studios. As the concept of exploring alternative realities has gotten more popular over the last decade, it was only a matter of time before the MCU began to explore it in its later Phases. Spider-Man: No Way Home was a significant chapter for the MCU, as it didn't only finish Peter Parker's trilogy but also united three generations of the iconic Marvel hero.
Following the Spider-Man threequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness continued the trend by taking it to the next level. Directed by Sam Raimi, the latest Doctor Strange sequel follows Benedict Cumberbatch's titular hero as he goes deeper into the Multiverse, including portraying variants of his character. While the films have been focusing on the multiverse, so have Marvel Studios' Disney+ shows, which include the animated series What If...? As part of the Doctor Strange 2 Illuminati cameos, the film incorporated a new take on Captain Carter, with Hayley Atwell once again portraying the heroine.
