Masterworking Materials Group Penalty Removed from the Pit in Diablo 4 Season 5
In the upcoming Season 5 of Diablo 4, Blizzard has addressed numerous points of feedback that players have had with matters of Class balance and parity, material costs for Enchanting, and very notably: group play in The Pit of Artificers.

Previously, only the player who opened the Pit would receive the full amount of Masterworking materials. This penalty for other party members has been removed.
Developer’s Note: We've received a lot of feedback that this made party flow awkward and wasn't obvious, we've decided to remove it.
Currently, players are disincentivized from grouping up for The Pit since the player that opens The Pit receives most of the materials. This leads to other players not being properly rewarded for completing difficult content. Now that this penalty will be removed in Season 5, we might see more support builds pop up for group play in The Pit using items such as Unbroken Chain!
