Much like the previous two games, Mass Effect 3 gives you the chance to romance your squad to get to know them on a more intimate level. One of the more popular choices for romance in the game is the turian marksman that is back for another round, Garrus Vakarian.

He is back for one last ride on the Normandy to help Shepard take down the Reapers. The third game will let you romance Garrus, provided you follow and fulfill certain criteria in order to have a relationship with your loyal companion. This is what you will have to do to romance Garrus in Mass Effect 3.
Only a female Shepard can romance Garrus in the game, so a male Shepard will have to explore other options when it comes to love. While this is the first thing to know, there are other things you still need to do.
For some reason, you can’t actually start a brand-new relationship with Garrus in Mass Effect 3, you can only continue one if you chose to do so in Mass Effect 2. This means you have to import a prior save from Mass Effect 2 where you professed your love to Garrus.
