Commander Shepard’s story throughout the Mass Effect storyline is incredibly memorable. Obviously, that doesn’t really make the commander a baby in comparison, but it shows how Shepard came about at the right time, with the right crew, to tackle their mission.
Shepard’s birthday is also a good time to question their fate. In one of the extended endings for Mass Effect 3, there is some suggestion that Shepard is alive.
