A new Venom Unreal Engine 5 fan concept video has been released, showing what fans could expect from this rumored title.
Earlier this month, following a criminal ransomware attack, details about Insomniac's next game allegedly saw the light. Apparently, the team is working on a Venom game that will be similar in scope to 2020's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. According to the leak, the game's story will lead into Spider-Man 3 and is said to feature three playable characters. Interestingly enough, following the release of Spider-Man 2 back in October of this year, an Insomniac dev commented on the possibility of a Venom spin-off, saying that the team will listen to fans. "So, here's what we're doing", Insomniac's Senior Narrative Director Jon Paquette said when asked about a spin-off. "We're focused on 'Spider-Man 2,' and what we're gonna do is we're gonna wait to see how the fans react. We're gonna listen to the fans and we're gonna ask ourselves, 'Okay, what do the fans really want?"
So, how would a Venom spin-off look and play? While not official gameplay in any way, digital artist TeaserPlay has released a concept video within Unreal Engine 5. Of course, Insomniac uses its in-house engine, but we're pretty sure that fans will appreciate this fan imagining. TeaserPlay's video features Epic's Nanite and Lumen tech alongside other features from Unreal Engine 5. Check out the fan concept video below:
