Even the most brilliant villains have some significant costume design flaws, as Iron Man just pointed out to Doctor Octopus how silly it was he never built a full armor for his villainous ensemble. In Devil's Reign #6 from Marvel Comics, Tony Stark takes down the MCU villain and teases him by telling him that despite his «perfect mind,» it was an oversight he «never considered inventing armor.»
Iron Man has built more than 50 unique suits in the pages of Marvel Comics, so he knows a thing or two about designing and implementing offensively and defensively capable armor. Meanwhile, Doctor Octopus, a villain with an incredible intellect like Tony Stark, has largely kept his robot arms without the added protection of a suit of armor. Instead, Doc Ock is confident his powerful tentacles are enough to get the job done and defend him against attacks. However, Iron Man just proved that maybe Doc Ock, who just made his first appearance in the MCU, should reconsider his design and get his own suit of armor like the heroes he's faced.

In Devil's Reign #6 from Marvel Comics by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto, Marcio Menyz, and VC's Clayton Cowles, the final battle between Kingpin's forces and Earth's Mightiest Heroes unfolds in New York. As Doctor Octopus tries to convince his Superior Four team to break free of Fisk and Purple Man's control, Iron Man attacks him. The hero flies directly into Doc Ock's path as Tony Stark knocks him out by sending him through a building. While Doctor Octopus lays on the ground, Iron Man asks him why he never considered wearing armor.
