Apple could eventually launch an iPhone without ports, and MagSafe would serve as a viable alternative for charging. While it is too early to conclude, the company prototyped different MagSafe colors for the iPhone. According to a rare Apple products collector, Twitter user KosutamiSan states that Apple potentially worked on new color options for the MagSafe charger for iPhone as the company prototyped at least one new color. What this means is that the company potentially had plans to launch additional color options aside from the current Silver option. While the product was seemingly abandoned, the company re-introduce it in the future.
Take note that the company is not new to the approach as it already offers colored MagSafe Charging 2 Charging cables with the new M2 MacBook Air. These colored MagSafe Charging cables are also sold separately in four distinct color options that match their respective MacBook Air color - Gray, Midnight, Silver, and Starlight. However, the color saturation on the MagSafe puck could be different than that of the MagSafe power cables for the MacBook Air.
