Wizards of the Coast has released a statement confirming that it has suspended Fay Dalton, the artist behind Magic: The Gathering's Trouble in Pairs card from the Murders at Karlov Manor Commander set, while it investigates her alleged plagiarism.
Earlier this week, Magic: The Gathering artist Fay Dalton was accused of plagiarising art from fellow MTG artist Donato Giancola for the Trouble in Pairs card from the Murders at Karlov Manor Commander set. In the statement, Wizards of the Coast says that it has heard the concerns about the "integrity" of the art featured in the Trouble in Pairs card, and noted that it "had questions, too". WotC says that it has looked into the matter further and is now suspending future work with Fay Dalton, which confirms that the investigation has gone far enough for a decision to be made.
"We've heard questions on the integrity of the art on the card Trouble in Pairs from the Murders at Karlov Manor Commander set, and we had questions, too. As we have looked into this further, we're now suspending future work with Fay Dalton."
