News on Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Nintendo’s Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake could arrive this weekend.
On Sunday, an X user posted a message requesting that Nintendo provide an update on the Paper Mario title on March 10, which is when the company celebrates Mario Day (Mar10).
Picking up on the message, reliable leaker Pyoro seemingly suggested a Paper Mario update could be planned for this weekend, along with fresh news about Luigi’s Mansion.

Pyoro has a strong track record when it comes to Nintendo leaks, including outing Super Mario Bros. Wonder ahead of its official announcement, and teasing F-Zero news the week before Nintendo announced the first new series entry in almost two decades.
A visually enhanced version of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, which was originally released for Nintendo 3DS in 2023, was announced last June. Titled Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, it’s set for release on Switch this summer.
Announced in September 2023, the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake will also arrive this year, two decades after the game was originally released for GameCube.
The Thousand-Year Door, which sees Mario trying to rescue Peach from a group of aliens called the X-Nauts, has a cult following among fans, many of whom believe it’s the best RPG in the Mario series.
