Netflix has always promoted Love Is Blind as an experiment to find out whether love can truly be blind, and a handful of couples have been able to prove that this experiment does, in fact, work. When considering dating series like Married At First Sight, 90 Day Fiancé, and other shows that feature the quick pairing up of individuals who barely know one another, there wasn't a lot of faith behind Netflix's Love Is Blind prior to the release of its inaugural season.
With that said, it didn't take all that long for Love Is Blind to take the world by storm, become a mainstream dating competition, and compete with longstanding successful franchises such as The Bachelor and Love Island. While a lot of media attention on Love Is Blind season 1 was placed on the trainwreck relationship between Mark Cuevas and Jessica Batten, fans were also highly invested in the relationships that did work on the show.

Out of five featured couples in season 1, two pairs went through with a blind proposal in the pods and got married at the end of the series. Meanwhile, one couple couldn't say «I do» at the altar but kept on dating for many years out in the real world. In 2022, two couples on Love Is Blind season 2 also followed through with the entire process of getting engaged in the pods and getting married at the finale. In just two seasons, there's already plenty of evidence that this Netflix experiment does work for a lot of people.
