All around the world today, Wordle players will be logging onto the New York Times Games website in order to try to guess the new word puzzle of the day. If anyone out there still has yet to try out this viral game, here's a breakdown of the rules, some hints for today's puzzle, and the full spoiler.
In order to play the original version of Wordle, players will need to head to the NYTs Games site. These colors are designed to give players some hints as to the real answer for the puzzle.
With these clues, Wordle fans have just five more guesses to get to the correct word. Words can have duplicated letters, such as the word VIVID or LLAMA. They usually follow Americanized spellings of words, such as the word FIBER over FIBRE.
After the puzzle is solved, players will get access to the Wordle menu, which will have stats like their winning streak, total puzzles played, and the spoiler-free share button that copies only the colors of the blocks of the player's guesses. Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time, and since the New York Times shut down all the Wordle archives, there is no way to play older puzzles at this time.
