Screen Rant has the honor of exclusively premiering key art for Love, Death & Robots season 3, otherwise known as Love, Death and Robots Volume 3. The animated science-fiction anthology, which derives its name from three major themes embodied in most standalone episodes, will premiere globally on Netflix May 20. The series made its debut in March 2019 with an initial 18 episodes that were met with widespread acclaim, and each subsequent season consists of 8 additional episodes.
Creator Tim Miller (Deadpool) initially sought to craft Love, Death & Robots as a remake the 1981 sci-fi film Heavy Metal, but with executive producer David Fincher (Gone Girl) and Netflix onboard, it soon grew into the beloved anthology series we see today after Miller’s success with Deadpool translated into more creative freedom. Jennifer Miller and Joshua Donen (House of Cards) round out the team of EPs, who have committed to tales of technological horror, ethical questions, and high-quality animation from the start. Unique character designs and world building have especially been at the forefront of Miller's anthology, and it looks like the third volume of episodes will be no different.
