New images from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power reveal closer looks at Elves, Hobbits, and Dwarves. Based on the bestselling fantasy novels from author J. R. R. Tolkein, Amazon's upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will mark the first time the world of Middle-earth comes to life on the small screen. The show takes place in the Second Age, set thousands of years before the events of Tolkein's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Although much remains unknown about the highly-anticipated series, the first trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was released in February, teasing the re-emergence of evil and a return to many of the locations that fans are already familiar with. As was featured in Peter Jackson's beloved Lord of the Rings trilogy, the upcoming show will feature the early ancestors of Hobbits called Harfoots, Dwarves, Elves, and men and will chronicle the various unique ways of life these races have. The series stars Morfydd Clark, Peter Mullan, Benjamin Walker, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, and Alex Tarrant, among others.
