A new day brings a new Wordle puzzle, and today's word could cause a few players out there to lose their long-standing streak. It's not that the word is overly difficult by any means, it just isn't a commonly used word and oftentimes it's the words we don't think of on a daily basis that can throw off a game. Today's Wordle also has a common suffix, for example, there are multiple possibilities for five-letter words ending in 'ING' or 'ER' and players can easily get stuck wasting their guesses on wrong answers.

For those players who want a harder challenge than the game has to offer they can always access the options menu before starting a Wordle and turn on Hard Mode. This will lock in clues and force the players to use a bit more critical thinking when making their guesses. If a letter is proven correct in a past guess it must be used in future guesses. The same applies to letters proven incorrect, they are locked out of being chosen in future attempts. This is a great way to lower the number of guesses a player uses since there can be no wasted attempts using an answer they know is wrong.
