Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games have released details about what to expect from Lost Ark summer updates. The updates in July will continue quality of life changes that will eventually make way for progression changes that will arrive in August.
These changes follow the letter to the community that stated that major changes were on the way to make the game less grindy and repetitive, through changes to progression. Changes will get underway starting in July and will include the first batch of progression changes. The first will be raising the Basic Honing Growth Boost up to 1490. To accompany this, there will be adjustments increasing honing success rates, decreasing requirements, and gold fees.
The team will add a Legendary wandering merchant to enable more players to be able to collect stepping stone cards. Battle items will be roster bound. Moving ability stones or accessories to other characters on your roster will no longer cost Pheons, but moving an item within the roster will count against the trade limits. A couple of other tweaks will increase rewards for the Brelshaza Legion Raid and make Brelshaza Ancient gear a little easier to craft.
It's not all progression changes in July, as the Maharaka Festival returns (lasting into August). There will be new activities and the opportunity to earn a number of progression rewards that will set you up for the August changes.
In August, most of the progression changes will arrive, continuing to ease progression, add more quality of life changes, and events. These events are designed to help new or returning players, or to help current players to level up a new character and more.
