For an MMORPG that has existed for nearly three years, Lost Ark has been fairly consistent in bringing new content to keep its players attached. While the game has just been made available to western players earlier this year, Lost Ark has actually been a big hit in South Korea since launching in late 2019. Part of the reason is developer Smilegate's eagerness to keep the game fresh and fun to enjoy by both new and veteran players. Sometimes, Smilegate is even willing to go the extra mile and collaborate with other big names in the gaming industry, like The Witcher for example.
In a summer showcase event held recently, Smilegate announced loads of new updates that will be coming to Lost Ark, particularly the South Korean version of the game, ranging from a new damager class called Aeromancer to special DLC themed around CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3. The collaboration is expected to arrive at the Korean servers in winter, but it's unclear for now whether it will also be made available to the western version as well.
Lost Ark Reveals Roadmap for June and July
Unfortunately, Smilegate didn't provide any details as to how Geralt's presence in Arkesia will take form. The announcement was very succinct and only showed Lost Ark's logo next to The Witcher 3's logo. However, fans are already speculating what the DLC will be. Some thought it would be very cool to see a brand new Witcher-inspired class in Lost Ark, while others had a more realistic expectation of a quest line or skins inspired by The Witcher 3.
