Lords of the Fallen technical showcase video shows the impact of Unreal Engine 5

CI Games has released a brand new video for its upcoming dark fantasy game Lords of the Fallen, with this one focusing on showcasing Unreal Engine 5’s impact on the game. Included in the showcase is how players can create characters with different body shapes, and how armour will adapt to each body shape.

Lords of the Fallen’s technical showcase also shows the microtextures of character’s armour providing intricate details. The video also looks at the impact of the Lumen GI, showing off how the lighting in the environment acts more realistically. CI Games has also added its own modifications with Unreal Engine 5 so the two worlds of Lords of the Fallen can co-exist, those worlds being Axiom, the world of the living, and Umbral, the world of the dead. This is important as the player character will be switching between the two.

The Lords of the Fallen casts you as a Dark Crusader, a fabled combatant on an epic quest to overthrow Adyr, the demon God. This game takes place a good 1000 years after the original game, though you can expect it to follow and try to carve out its own niche in the Soulslike genre. Will it manage this?
