The ultimate--and spherically perfect--Pokemon collectible has arrived, as the Pokemon Center store is now selling a life-size Spheal plush. It's big and round, and the cooling contact fabric that it's constructed from is great for hugging and screaming into when you've had a bad day.
The collectible is also chonky as it's around three feet tall and weighs over 16 pounds, proving that has been incorrectly portrayed as a tiny ball of ice-type blubber since it made its debut all the way back in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. The price for this ball of huggable Pokemon materials is around $358, and it's exclusive to the Japanese-based store.
Fun fact: Nintendo's official Pokedex entry for Spheal adds that because it is so impressively round, it's easier for it to roll around rather than walk.
This isn't the first time that life-sized pokemon have been transformed into therapeutic collectibles, as last year saw the release of a Gengar doll. Accurate to its in-game design, it also featured a hollow cursed mouth that you could stick your head inside of if you wanted to escape reality and a tongue that could double as a blanket.
In the video game department, 2022 is a big year for Pokemon. The next mainline entry in the franchise, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, arrives on November 18, and Pokemon Puzzle League, a classic battling puzzle game for the Nintendo 64, has just been added to the Switch Online library.
