LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has broken Steam’s records for the biggest launch of either a Star Wars or LEGO game on the platform less than a day after it was released. Fans have been waiting for Traveler's Tales' latest LEGO game for a little over two years thanks to multiple delays, but LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally arrived across all major platforms yesterday to much critical acclaim. This latest installment of the massively popular LEGO Star Wars series is arguably the biggest one yet, featuring a roster of about 300 playable characters and telling the story of all nine mainline Star Wars films in a cute LEGO format.
So far, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has earned mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike for its varied gameplay and charming storytelling. While some players who ordered physical copies of The Skywalker Saga got to experience the game early due to their copies arriving sooner than expected, PC owners who purchased it digitally had to wait a while longer to jump into the LEGO Star Wars galaxy due to Steam and publisher WB Games not allowing users to pre-load The Skywalker Saga before the game went live on April 5.

It appears that this delay didn’t do much to deter Steam users from playing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga when they were eventually able to install it, as Game Rant reports that the latest LEGO game has landed the record for Steam’s biggest launch for either the Star Wars or LEGO franchises.
