There are new vaults scattered across the Fortnite map for players to collect in Chapter 3 Season 2. Vaults in Fortnite are filled with loot that can aid players in battle, from healing items to materials to rare weapons. Vaults have appeared in previous Fortnite chapters and seasons, and they’re back with new locations and loot.
Unlike last season, players can no longer open every vault right away, as certain vault locations have been taken over by Fortnite's IO. Certain vaults will become available as the season goes on and the story progresses, so players are going to want to know where to find these vaults. There are currently eight vaults players can find.

Vaults are just one of many items players can find on the map, along with collectibles like Fortnite's Omni Chips. To open a vault in team Battle Royale, players need to go to the vault location with their team, and the vault will flash symbols indicating how many people need to stand in front of it. Once the correct number of people stand in front of the scanner, the vault will open. In solo mode, players need to either recruit an NPC, or catch a chicken that they can use to provide the scanner with the correct number of people.
Here is where players can find every new vault in Fortnite:
