The third issue of DC Comics' Earth-Prime miniseries confirms a number of facts regarding the Legends of Tomorrow and the future of the Arrowverse continuity. Ironically, this story comes at a time when the future of the Legends of Tomorrow TV series itself is largely in doubt, following the show's sudden cancellation by the CW network. Despite this, a massive fan effort has mobilized on social media, hoping to see the show return in some form on HBO Max.
Earth-Prime: Legends of Tomorrow #3 provides some closure regarding the cliffhanger ending of Legends of Tomorrow season 7. The comic's main story concludes with a flash-forward to Star City 2049, where several of the retired Legends get together for a drink while reminiscing over their glory days. This group includes a visibly older Sara Lance, confirming that she escaped to fight another day following the Legends' arrest in Legends of Tomorrow's season 7 finale.

The story doesn't reveal the fate of the rest of the Legends, but it does establish a number of interesting facts regarding other Arrowverse heroes. Chief among these is the fact that Wally West continued to go by the codename Kid Flash, even when he was well into adulthood. Kara Zor-El continued to go by Supergirl and Kendra Saunders remained Hawkgirl, even as the daughter she had with Hawkman Carter Hall prepares to become a superhero using the name Hawkwoman. The issue is written by Legends of Tomorrow writers Daniel Park and Lauren Fields, with art by Paul Pelletier, Andrew Hennessy, and Adriano Lucas.
