Latest Nintendo Switch Update 18.0.1 Addresses Annoying Wi-Fi Issue

Nintendo has rolled out Nintendo Switch update 18.0.1, which fixes an annoying Wi-Fi connection issue that has been plaguing players.

Unlike most Switch firmware updates, this new system update doesn't only improve the system's stability (yeah, the Switch is as stable as the PS4 was at some point during its lifespan), but it also addresses an issue with some wireless access points. The issue caused some wireless access points to not be visible for the Switch when trying to set up a wireless connection. Some players have managed to circumvent this issue by manually entering the SSID name, but this official fix should make it easier to set up a Wi-Fi connection for those affected.

Interestingly, as mentioned by dataminer 'OatmealDome' on X, this new system update doesn't seem to include under-the-hood changes.
