Apple iPhones that are affected by the issue have dual-SIM functionality and include iPhone XR, iPhones XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 (all models), iPhone 12 (all models) and iPhone 13 (all models). However, the error seems to trouble many iPhone 13 users operating with two SIMs: a physical SIM and an e-SIM.
The error occurs when an iPhone user tries to make a call from the Recent list and does not allow the user to dial a contact through the preferred SIM. Instead, it shows the following message "Last Line No Longer Available. Do you want to call using your remaining line?" After that, users have to dial the number using their secondary SIM, which is the remaining line. Users can select their default phone number on a dual-SIM iPhone. It is this number that is used by iMessage and FaceTime.

The 'Last Line No Longer Available' issue can be pretty annoying at times, especially when users want to make urgent calls. There are a couple of methods to fix this issue. The most reliable and easy way is to clear the recent call log. Users can do it by following a few simple steps. Firstly, users need to open their iPhone app and head to the Recents tab. Then they should tap Edit, located at the top right corner of the interface, and tap on Clear. A prompt will show up at the bottom of the display with the option Clear All Recents. After doing so, users should reboot their devices and check whether the issue has been resolved.
