If you know anything about developers Land and Sea, it’s that they’re the creators of Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey, arguably two of the finest mobile games out there. Said games are 2D snowboarding runners about having to gather up and herd lost llamas (in the first game, at least). The herding really felt like a simple part of the plot, but now the team’s latest game, Summerhill, will be all about herding. Revealed during the Day of the Devs Summer Game Fest Showcase, you can check out the first quick teaser for the game below.
Billed as “a folktale about life, loss, and livestock,” the game sees players setting out to retrieve their lost flock, travelling across the mysterious lands surrounding them and uncovering several of their secrets along the way as well. With fluid, herding-based gameplay and a ton of striking landscapes, this is one puzzle-adventure game that could wind up being another hit for Land and Sea, and we’ll see if that’s the case when it comes out later for Steam, with no other platforms announced right now.
