From single-player titles like Resident Evil to ongoing ones like Monster Hunter and Street Fighter, Capcom loves to support many of its releases with post-launch content and DLC, though that’s not a strategy that the company always adopts with every single one of its titles. For instance, the upcoming Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is looking like a one-and-done type of thing, with no plans for post-launch support just yet.
The same was confirmed by producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi in an interview with Automaton Media, where he confirmed that Capcom has no plans in place to add new content to upcoming action-strategy title with DLC following its imminent launch.
“We don’t plan to add content to this game in the form of DLC,” he said.
Of course, whether or not the game ends up being successful enough for Capcom to change its mind as far as DLC is concerned remains to be seen, though for now, it doesn’t look like that’s part of the plan. Either way, with a main story that’s set to last over 20 hours, it doesn’t look like the game is going to be lacking in content even upon release.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launches on July 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and will also be available via Game Pass at launch. A demo is currently available on all platforms.
