The main antagonist of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, named Fecto Forgo, is an alien being that's brainwashed the Forgotten Land's inhabitants. At the top of the Forgotten Land's food chain is the Beast Pack, a team of animal warriors that pose a significant challenge to Kirby and his trusty pal Bandana Waddle Dee. At the top of the Beast Pack is the Executive Council, who act as Kirby and the Forgotten Land's primary bosses.

Leongar, like the rest of the Beast Pack, has been brainwashed by the entity Fecto Forgo, who is the malevolent half of the being formerly known as Fecto Efilis. Fecto Efilis used its inherent dimension-shifting powers to travel to the Forgotten Land years ago, but was captured by a team of researchers who conducted studies on the alien being in order to harness their warp powers.
