It seems that Square Enix has every plan to continue milking the Kingdom Hearts series. Looking like it has no plans of stopping, especially now that Kingdom Hearts is hitting its 20th anniversary this 2022, Square Enix has recently released a series of announcements to commemorate the epic milestone. This includes hosting a special event that will feature a mini concert, and discussions with the developers themselves, among other exciting KH-themed activities that fans would likely enjoy.
When Kingdom Hearts finally released for PC on the Epic Games Store last March 2021, fans were probably thinking that it would only be a matter of time until the series made its way onto the Nintendo Switch. Proving fans right, Square Enix recently released news that cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts would be available to stream on the portable console this February 2022. For those who have never been able to play the RPG, and have had no access to other platforms where the series is available, this is a great way to get up to speed before the devs make any major announcements during the anniversary celebrations.

According to the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account, the 20th anniversary event will be held in Japan on April 10, 2022. The announcement was simply-phrased, yet promised a lot of fun activities for fans. Though it seems like any on-ground events will be limited to Japan, the team confirmed that fans around the world will be able to view the festivities through a post-event video.
