It has been confirmed that the Final Fantasy 7 Remakeseries will receive more entries in the future, with new projects confirmed by the developer. As of the time writing, there are two confirmed FF7 Remake projects in development, not counting the battle royale FF7: The First Soldier, which is a live service competitive title that will continue to receive updates for the foreseeable future.
Square Enix announced FF7: Ever Crisis in 2021, which is an upcoming RPG for smart devices that will tell a truncated version of the originalFF7 storyline. This means the game will feature the storylines from FF7, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, and the first English localization of Before Crisis. The project that fans are eagerly waiting for is the sequel to FF7 Remake, which is currently in development, but there has been no word regarding its release date, platforms, or even its official title.
