MGM and EON Productions have announced that No Time to Die will return to theatres to celebrate the James Bond franchises' 60th anniversary. Released in October 2021, No Time To Die is the 25th film in the franchise under EON Productions. The film was also the final film featuring Daniel Craig's James Bond, who left the role after 15 years since first playing the MI6 agent in 2006's Casino Royale.
Following the events of Spectre, where he retired from MI6 to spend his life with Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), No Time to Die saw Bond dragged back into the world of espionage when a bioweapon project falls into the hands of vengeful terrorist Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek). After a troubled production that saw No Time to Die switch between directors and suffer delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was finally released in 2021, concluding Craig's Bond story. Breaking franchise box-office records and becoming one of the highest performing releases of the pandemic era, No Time to Die was praised for how it concluded the current incarnation of the iconic spy, but it has now been revealed that No Time to Die will return to theatres not too long after it left.
