The upcoming National Treasure series at Disney Plus is bringing back a character from the films. Actor Justin Bartha, who starred in both National Treasure films, will officially reprise his role as computer expert Riley Poole in the series.
TheNational Treasure series on Disney Plus stars Lisette Alexis as Jess, a brilliant and resourceful Dreamer who begins the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about her family’s mysterious past and recover a lost Pan-American treasure. The series has been described as an “expansion” of the National Treasure movie franchise and will take place in the same story universe. So far, Bartha is the only actor from the films to be reprising his role.

Bartha portrayed Riley Poole In both 2004's National Treasure and the 2007 sequel National Treasure: The Book of Secrets.In both films,Riley is portrayed as a sarcastic computer genius and best friend to protagonist Ben Gates, played by actor Nicolas Cage. Bartha will reportedly guest star in the series, which is currently filming in Louisiana. Bartha joins fellow series cast members Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zuri Reed, Jordan Rodrigues, Antonio Cipriano, Jake Austin Walker, and Lyndon Smith. In addition to the National Treasure films, Bartha is known for his roles in The Hangover trilogy, The Good Fight, Godfather of Harlem and Netflix's Sweet Girl.
The National Treasure series is just one of many upcoming Disney Plus original series in the works.
